A Powerful Archive of Real Stories and Transformational Moments Across Pennsylvania
Every Stage Holds a Story
Since its first gathering, Night of Recovery has grown into a statewide movement of hope, healing, and honest conversation. Each event, hosted by recovery advocate Chris Dreisbach, brings together individuals with lived experience—from professional wrestlers and veterans to treatment professionals and local leaders—offering their personal journeys through addiction, redemption, and recovery.
Below is a look back at the unforgettable events that have shaped communities, moved hearts, and inspired change.
The Original Night of Recovery – Live from the Ware Center (Lancaster, PA)
The Beginning of a Movement
This inaugural event set the tone for what Night of Recovery would become: a safe space for truth and transformation. WWE alumni Sean Waltman (X-Pac), Curtis Hussey (Fandango, Dirty Dango), and Jesus Rodriguez (Ricardo Rodriguez) shared raw stories of addiction, fame, and rebuilding from the ground up. A surprise appearance from Brandon Novak—skateboarding legend and Jackass star—delivered one of the most unforgettable testimonies of the night.
“Each story felt bigger than the stage—it felt personal, universal, and unforgettable.”

Night of Recovery – The Moravian Center
From the Spotlight to Sobriety
Curtis Hussey and Jesus Rodriguez returned to offer deep updates on their continued recovery, joined for the first time by Shannon Moore, who shared his emotional descent into addiction and his rise into advocacy. The intimate venue created a powerful sense of community and connection between speakers and guests.
Night of Recovery – Waynesboro Theatre
Wrestling with Reality, Rising with Purpose
In this Franklin County debut, the stage was filled with hard truths and even harder-earned hope. Chris Harris, Shannon Moore, and Jesus Rodriguez laid bare their battles with addiction, the pain of public pressure, and the triumph of choosing recovery every day.
This event offered raw, unfiltered insights that deeply resonated with attendees—fans, families, and future advocates alike.

Night of Recovery – Arkview Recovery Center
From Rock Bottom to Rebirth
Held in collaboration with Arkview Recovery Center, this event welcomed Jesus Rodriguez, Maggie Hunt, and Tim Lodgen. Maggie, a mother and treatment professional, shared the emotional toll of recovery and the strength of reparenting herself. Tim, a Marine and MMA fighter, delivered a passionate story of mental health, transformation, and community support.
The night ended with a moving Q&A led by CBS21’s Elise Person, offering attendees deeper personal insight and engagement.
Night of Recovery – Scranton
From Pain to Purpose: A Northern Chapter
This powerful night featured Jesus Rodriguez, Joey Beck, and Timothy Zukas, whose unique mix of lived experience and leadership illuminated recovery from multiple angles: personal, clinical, and communal. With Chris Dreisbach at the helm, this event became a conversation, not a presentation, and left attendees with both tools and hope.

Recovery Slam – Wrestling Meets Recovery (Live in PA)
An Adrenaline-Fueled Celebration of Redemption
A bold twist on traditional formats, Recovery Slam opened with heart-pounding stories from Ben McCoy (CEO of Blueprints) and Brian Corson (MVP Recovery)—then shifted into action with a live wrestling match from Three Legacies Wrestling, founded by Jesus Rodriguez. The symbolic main event between recovery warriors captured what Night of Recovery is all about: the fight for a better life.
Healing Beyond Boundaries
Recovery Across Professions, Faith, and the Justice System
This community-focused event featured a diverse panel of voices: Nicole Shwartz (CRNP/LSW), Alyssa Hess, Judge David L. Ashworth, and Pastor Mandy Mastros. Each brought unique perspectives from medicine, personal recovery, the justice system, and faith.
This event showcased that recovery is not linear—it’s layered, complex, and deeply human.
Night of Recovery – Emmaus (Veterans Edition)
The Battle After the Uniform
Focused on veterans in recovery, this emotional event featured Chris Yarnell (Battle Borne), Arvin Alston (Navy), and Tim Lodgen (Marine, MMA). These brave men shared honest, hard-earned insight on navigating life after service—and the strength it takes to rebuild identity through recovery.
